Buffing & Grinding

After CNC and Milling Machine the Pliers and scissors will go through rough sharpening stages.

This is where the artisan technique is still the main thing, the team of Skilful craftmenship are working hard to create fixtures these stages.

Grinding (for Shaping and Sharpening)

This is the first stage—where material is removed to shape the cutting edges.

• Create the sharp edge on the jaws
• Shape the bevel angle of the blades
• Refine alignment between the two blades

Secure the nipper in a jig or fixture to maintain alignment

2. Gently grind the inner side of each jaw (the cutting edge), using a fine abrasive
3. Maintain a consistent bevel angle—usually around 20–25°
4. Ensure both jaws meet perfectly at the tips

Buffing (for Polishing and Finishing)

This is the final stage, which gives the tool its smooth, shiny, professional finish.

• Remove fine scratches from grinding
• Polish the cutting surface and handles
• Improve appearance and corrosion resistance
